Challenging, so will be the discussion around fibromyalgia, which will focus on this edition on the difficult management of this disease, given the complexities to find the precise treatment or care protocol.

For this reason, the PANLAR 2021 Congress convened three experts in the field, who will be in charge of explaining fundamental aspects that will allow us to provide better treatment to the patient and thus achieve a better quality of life.

In 15-minute sessions for each of the experts and under the moderation of Dr. José Roberto Provenza, the specialists will try to provide solutions and recommendations to the attendees so that some guidelines are left on the table to find the correct or most accurate treatment when caring for a patient with this condition.

In that sense, Professor José Eduardo Martínez will focus on how to approach and treat this type of patients, while Dr. Deeba Minhas will talk about an issue considered as fundamental that is seen in many of the patients, which has to do with catastrophizing the disease, that is, transforming the fibromyalgia disease into an unbearable situation.

With that, the doctor will put us in situations in which we can also work accurately and precisely around this symptomatology.

Finally, Dr. Eduardo Paiva will talk about the coordination of treatment for this disease, through a multidisciplinary and diverse team, which should be close or, at least, have proximity to the patient that is being treated.

This multidisciplinary team should include a physiotherapist, psychologist, occupational therapist, nutritionist and, of course, the physician's professional rheumatologist.

Why? The answer is simple, by having a multidisciplinary work team, you will have a more global vision of the possible treatments or management that can be given to the patient.

Now, faced with the challenge of this disease, the speakers will have in their hands, experience and conversation, the possibility of giving guidelines on how to move, what to do or how to channel the work of all professionals, who are looking for the best treatment or way to care for patients.
